Well, we are half way through our anti-bullying week already and today Hazeldown welcomed two very important visitors – the Mayor of Teignmouth and the Deputy Mayor!
They came to share in some of our anti-bullying week learning and activities. Met by our School Council, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor also enjoyed a tour of our lovely school.
From the start, it was clear to see how completely blown away they both were with what they saw…
They frequently remarked upon the incredible focus and enthusiasm for learning in every room. They were continually very impressed with the level of dialogue being generated with high order conversation and language from the anti-bullying activities. More than that, they repeatedly commented on the warm atmosphere which welcomed them from room to room, with smiles from everyone they met.
Today was the first visit of many more to come, as we look forward to working with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor again on a couple of very exciting community projects for the youngsters of Teignmouth!
Keep an eye out in the local newspaper next week, for a report and more photos of today’s visit!
