Little Acorns- Clean teeth
Today we have learnt about the importance of cleaning our teeth! The children used toothbrushes to clean the dirty marks from the tooth moulds.
Little Acorns have been getting very creative over the last 2 weeks. We have made decorations for our classroom, Christmas cards, snowmen pictures and sparkly saltdough tree decorations.
Little Little Acorns have had a fabulous half term exploring Autumn. We have been making seed shakers, observing fallen apples, leaf rubbing, conker rolling, making hedgehog pictures and pumpkin carving.
Little Acorns have had the amazing opportunity of observing and caring for 4 wiggly caterpillars. Once the caterpillars had built their chrysalises, we waited a few days before very carefully transferring them into the hatching net. The following week they began to emerge as beautiful butterflies! We observed the butterflies for 2 days and fed them fresh fruit and sugar water, before setting them free in our garden.
This half term the Little Acorns have been learning about minibeasts. We have explored our school grounds on bug hunts, looked at differences and patterns between them, observed snails and caterpillars and made our own spider webs.
Our topic this half term is What is a shadow? The Little Acorns children headed outside on a shadow hunt. They explored their environment to discover and make their own shadows.
Joshua has been very busy at home. What wonderful creations he has made!
Eli has had great fun making different sounds on the drums in the garden. He made a sock puppet, some wonderful art work and has been been getting creative in the kitchen!
Darcey has been playing number games and has drawn a lovely family portrait!
Scarlett has been working hard and completing the activities that have been sent home. She also spent some time digging for dinosaurs from an ice block.
Scarlett has been enjoying the weather in her garden. She even did a spot of cloud watching.

Iyla enjoyed being out and about for her daily exercise with her family. She played hide-and-seek in the long grass!
Cleo was exploring in her garden and found 35 slow worms!
Scarlett enjoyed some threading with the dinosaurs.
Noah spent a lot of time playing with some dry pasta. He very carefully thread the penne pasta on to the spaghetti.
Leo very carefully threaded the pieces of straw onto some string to make a necklace.
Sophia very carefully cut out some different shapes.
Scarlett enjoyed colouring in the rainbow and thank you sign for the window and has been eager to help wash the car.
Sophia has been making rhyming pairs.
Cleo has been looking at numbers and shapes.
Scarlett has been exploring and colouring in shapes.
Darcey has been practising writing the letter ‘s’ and finding things around the house beginning with the letter ‘s’.
Daisy found all her dolls and teddies and put them all into size order.
Noah has been busy painting using a variety of bright colours.
Scarlett collected flowers whilst out walking and added them to her flower catcher.
Darcey has been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar story and chose to make her own butterfly painting.
Sophia, Scarlett and Darcey have been making some wonderful creations in the kitchen.
