Fir class have been working harder than ever this week! Not only did we win TTRS Battles last week with an AMAZING 7981 points, but I have received so many pictures this week of fantastic activities going on at home. Well done to all of you who are continuing to be resilient and motivated at home! You are brilliant! Below are lots of examples of what you’ve been up to at home.
Alex, Callum, Amelia, Issy, Kristyn and Owen have been super busy in the kitchen making all sorts of wonderful goodies. Alex made scones for VE Day; Callum baked Turkish bread and Banana Loaf; Amelia baked a birthday cake for Dad and decorated donuts; Issy made ‘a mean scrambled egg’ breakfast in bed for her family; Kristyn has made cupcakes and Owen made butter!
We’ve had lots of fantastic Big Writes completed over the last few weeks too. Thank you to Aussie, Jude, Owen and Toby for sending theirs in.
Fir class have also been getting creative with their SOLE work. Thomas has created a wonderful digestive system diagram and a soldier’s helmet. Toby has created a fantastic Domesday book and produced some brilliant writing all about it. Kristyn has made a great Harold Godwinson fact file. Kowan has continued to challenge himself in his sewing and is now very skilled at it, along with extending his expertise in Zentangles to making presso prints!
Many of you have also told me you’ve been getting out and about outside on bikes and country walks, making the most of the lovely weather. You’ve been busy in the garden, on bug and flower hunts, planting things and watching them grow. You’ve been getting your arts and crafts on and showing resourcefulness by creating wonderful things with limited resources.
I’m so impressed and proud of you all. Well done to you! You’ve earned a well deserved break and I hope you all have a lovely half term!
