As part of our new topic Making Tracks, the children in literacy have been learning about the key features of a balanced argument. They are applying this new learning by researching a controversial topic very relevant to our town. Should the SouthWest coastal railway be redirected inland?
The children have researched the impact of Storm Angus on Dawlish and Teignmouth, the new proposals being discussed by the Government as well as engaging in active research and debate around arguments for and against the 3 main proposals.
This research will be used to develop a balanced argument over the next two weeks.
