Following on from our previous learning, Maple Class have continued to learn their number bonds to 10 and find fun ways to remember them!
We already learnt the rhymes and actions for 0 + 10, 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, 4 + 6 and Mrs Hooper’s personal favourite; 5 + 5 like to jump and jive!
Our challenge was to create brand new number rhymes and actions for the remaining number bonds; 6 + 4, 7 + 3, 8 + 2, 9 + 1 and 10 + 0. We had to consider which words rhymed with which numbers and what actions or movements we could easily remember.
In pairs, we recorded our number sentences and rhymes and performed our actions to the class. What brilliant rhymes and actions we created! Which ones will you remember to help you learn your number bonds to 10? How many more can you think of?
