Armed only with marshmallows and spaghetti sticks, Maple class were set the challenge of building 3D shapes!
Collaboration and resilience were our top learning values, as we created some absolutely incredible shapes.
We’ve been embedding our knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes this week and, what better way to prove we know the properties of these shapes is there than making them ourselves!
How many faces did your 3D shape have?
How many edges did your 3D shape have?
How many vertices did your 3D shapes have?
Explain to someone at home what you noticed about the shapes on the different faces of your 3D shape. Describe how you constructed your shape and what you might do differently if you were to build it again.
Why were more pieces of spaghetti used here do you think?
