School Improvement Priorities
Hazeldown School is currently judged as ‘good’ in all areas by OFSTED. (June 2015)
The school has achieved this rating by following its SIP (school improvement plan – sometimes known as a SDP school development plan). Hazeldown Executive Leadership Team formulated its school improvement plan in conjunction with several integral partners such as: advisors from Devon County Council, local leaders of education and elements of Exeter Consortium.
The leadership team use the school improvement plan to highlight and identify areas of need within the school and approaches to systematically address them. The RAG (red, amber, green) system allows us to measure our progress against the outlined measures and build in milestones of accountability.
Regularly amended, the plan grows and adapts to both the changing educational landscape and the day to day needs of the school.
