After School Club Party 18.7.19
Yesterday afternoon, the children who attend our after-school club were treated with a stunning, Alice in Wonderland- themed tea party!
Thank you to Mrs Heal for her incredible effort and creativity to organise this wonderful event; our pupils absolutely loved it!
We are very excited to announce that our entry into the Devon County Show scarecrow competition was awarded 5th prize! The BFG (and Sophie), who was made by Year 3 and 4 members of After School Club, is proudly displayed in the Craft and Gardening tent so pop in and see him if you are at the show tomorrow!
A few weeks ago, years three and four challenged After-school club to build a scarecrow for the Devon county show. The scarecrow needed to be a book character and made from recycled materials.
Of course we accepted the challenge!
For the last two weeks, the children have worked really hard. At times it has been a very messy job, but that didn’t put the children off.
Slowly, our BFG began to take shape.
Today, we had our grand reveal, before Mr Tribble escorted our BFG to the Devon County Show.

What a fantastic evening with the sign language group!
Today they have learnt the days of the week, the months and their numbers. They have also been able to ask and answer what their name is and when their birthday is. To top it all though, they have been making a music video and signing to True Colours.
Keep an eye out for when the video is live on the website!
