Year 6 Colhayes Kayaking (Mr Hardee’s group)
We had lots of fun on the water…
Hi parents,
I’m just writing a quick message to say that all of the pupils are absolutely loving the Colehayes residential; unfortunately, staff are struggling to access wifi so have been unable to upload pictures on the school blog! 🙁
They’re working alongside staff at the centre and are hoping to have some images of the various awesome activities that they’re doing posted on the school blog very shortly!
Keep checking the blog for further updates.
Mr. G. (on behalf of the Year 6 Team)
Year 6 have returned home tired, muddy but very happy, after a fantastic week away at Colehayes. After a brilliant talent show last night, they spent their final morning competing in the Colehayes Decathlon, completing a range of challenges including scoring 150 on the archery range, traversing the climbing wall, scaling the confidence wall, and much more besides!
Enjoy a well-earnt rest this weekend, Year 6 – you have been amazing all week and have been fantastic ambassadors for Hazeldown!
Lots of fun, plus plenty of mud and water!
More fun in the sun (and drizzle!), followed by a BBQ and then a swim in the lake!
A brilliant day has been had orienteering around the grounds of Colehayes, creating egg catapults, and building bonfires to toast marshmallows. All tucked up safely in bed now!
Day 2 at Colehayes has started with a feast! An AMAZING breakfast was enjoyed by all – now we’re all off to do the egg challenge and orienteering…
Year 6 have enjoyed a brilliant first day at Colehayes Park. Different groups have done archery, kayaking, raft building, ropes course and climbing. The day ended with big games of ’40, 40, in’ and ‘sardines.’
