Foundation- Counting in Two’s 11/5/18
We have started counting in 2’s. We’ve paired socks and counted objects using the 2’s pattern.
Some of us made up a rhyme to help us remember the pattern:
“2, 4, 6, 8, 10,
Say it again!”
Why don’t you have a go at counting in two’s at home? Can you count higher than 10?
We have drawn around our feet. Because we each have a pair of feet, we realised that we can count them in twos. This will be much quicker than having to count every single one!
This was our ‘must’ activity and we have all completed it. We counted 60 feet in each class!
How many feet are there altogether in Foundation?
We are learning to count in twos. Today we thought about all sorts of things which come in pairs and we realised it would be much quicker to count them all if we counted in twos. We have learnt a rhyme to help us remember the sequence of numbers.
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Say it again!
Can you dance while you say the rhyme like you did at school?
Counting in tens and fives today, we were trying to reorganise our class carpet spaces.
Should we sit in rows of tens or fives?
