15.5.18 Peer marking! Year 1.
This morning we peer marked our Big Writes! We collaborated in pairs to mark our learning and responded to our marking with our purple pens to make progress.
A member of Willow class went fossil hunting on the weekend on the EXACT same beach that Mary Anning discovered lots of strange and mysterious curiosities, that we know today to be fossils. They very kindly brought some into school to show us! We examined them closely and thought about what creature they once were!
We are having a busy afternoon with lots of dinosaur activities. We are doing some guided writing explaining what we found when exploring yesterday and imagining we are explorers and fossil hunters just like Mary Anning! What is your favourite dinosaur and why?
This morning we noticed some strange things in our playground like large footprints and giant bones! We thought we heard some loud noises as well! We decided to take a risk and do some exploring! We got our exploring exipment and excitedly went to investigate. We predicted that it might be dinosaurs!
We collaborated with our friends to explore our playground and found lots of different sized bones and footprints! We even discovered a hidden dinosaur nest! What dinosaur do you think might have visited our playground?
