Year 5 and 6 – Evacuee Day – More photos
We have received some photos that parents took on the morning of the ‘evacuation’. They look absolutely brilliant! Thanks for sending them in.
Today the children got to experience being an evacuee! Starting off in Teignmouth, they waved goodbye to their parents and made their way to Paignton. After a short stop, they then boarded the steam train to Kingswear.
On arrival, they were met by Billeting Officer Cooke, who lead them to the Kingswear Village hall. The children then took part in a number of activities, which included: postcard writing, drawing, wartime games, morse code challenge and wartime singing.
The children had a great day and impressed many members of the public! Well done everybody!
