Year 3 First Aid
We had some first aid training today, mainly focusing on the primary response.
Year 6 have been incredibly lucky to receive a full morning’s first aid training from St John’s Ambulance.
We had a special visitor today who helped us learn all about keeping safe and helping others.
Have a look at some of the skills we learned.
Today, we learnt important first aid skills led by St Johns Ambulance. This included learning how to put someone in the recovery position and learning how to do CPR!
Nigel from St John Ambulance visited today to teach us some important life-saving skills. We met Annie and learnt how to check her airway for breathing and how to keep ourselves safe as well.
We tried out the recovery position on each other with great success. We were all most impressed by how hard the children worked. We have all learnt something new today, you can call 999 in an emergency, but you can also call 112. A big thank you to Nigel for such a fun morning.
