Cross Country Club launches in style!
Well done to the 15 pupils that attended today’s Cross Country Club ‘taster session’ in the late October sunshine!
After a quick chat and a warm up, the team got to work on trying to meet their target of running at least a mile during the allotted timeframe (25-30 minutes). The above running app screenshot demonstrates the minimum distance covered by all club participants, with each of the attendees running at least five laps of the 0.4 mile course. Some then challenged themselves further and covered as many as ten laps!
It was a pleasure to see such resilient runners who kept focused on achieving their goals, even when they started to find things tough. Great fun was had by all! 🙂
A special thank you to our special guest runner, Mrs Carpenter, who joined us for the session and has committed to the remaining sessions too. If there are any parent volunteers who are keen runners and would like to become involved, do not hesitate to contact me as we’re keen to get as many helpers involved as possible.
To all club members, please remember your drink, shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and a towel for next week’s session as we’ll be running whatever the weather.
Looking forward to it already.
A brief video to share the brain science behind growth mindset. Did you challenge yourself today?
