Look at our fantastic paintings!
We have been in school full-time this week and have been absolutely fabulous. We have worked hard and had great fun getting to know new friends. We have been learning about new routines and have settled in really well.
This week we have started learning about mixing colours and how to hold a paintbrush. We have been talking about the colour of our eyes and hair and which colour paint we should choose. Aren’t our portraits fabulous?
Can you spot yours?
Wow! What a fabulous start to the school year. We are very proud of you all. You are already becoming independent. Some of you came in on your own today and hung up your own coats. ?
Look how we organised ourselves when painting today. We found our own paper, brush and apron. We did some fabulous paintings and then we put them on the rack to dry.
What was your favourite activity at school?
Have a lovely weekend.
We’ve had great fun creating these amazing paintings in the style of Quentin Blake. We drew our crocodiles using fine liner pens and then coloured them using watercolour paint. We tried using different shades of green to make our paintings realistic.
We have also done some crocodile writing.
What would your crocodile eat?
In foundation we are brilliant at organising ourselves. Today we wanted to paint pictures so we got our own equipment and shared with our friends. When we had finished we knew we had to put our paintings onto the drying rack.
Can you draw or paint a house? What shapes would you use?
