Year Two Trip to Exeter 24.01.17
Year Two enjoyed their cold day out in Exeter yesterday. They looked at the different tudor style houses around Exeter and at the fire damage by Cathedral Green. After lunch we visited Exeter Museum where we found out more about the house that moved and what life would have been like back in 1666.
What’s the most amazing fact you can remember from the trip?
Why does the house get bigger as you go up a level?
Why is there a trap door to the cellar?
Year 6 did tremendously digging their holes yesterday. They stayed in character throughout and showed a great understanding of the thoughts and feelings the characters from our text would have. We had quite a few onlookers from the public, who seemed puzzled and shocked by what we were doing, but they didn’t let that bother them! They stayed in character and dug their hearts out.
From yesterday’s experience, we have already produced an excellent piece of writing and, as a school, we are looking forward to the high quality persuasive letters they will write about why the camp should be investigated and closed down.
