Year 5 Monkey Puzzle – What’s the time Mrs Wolf?
Mollie, from Monkey Puzzle, has been working incredibly hard on telling the time and solving time problems throughout the whole day. She has become the class’s talking clock!!
If you see her walking around school, be sure to ask her the time!
The children of Monkey Puzzle have been working incredibly hard this morning in maths. They have been answering different questions related to time that include: converting between 12 and 24 hour, reading timetables, adding and taking away time and so much more! They really personified our learning values of being resilient, collaborating, being resourceful and taking a risk. Can you come up with any word problems linked to time?
In year 5 we have been learning about time. Today we explored the use of bus timetables and how to interpret them. We asked each other questions about the timetables as well finding out how long different journeys would take.
.
We have been learning how to tell and write the time in Palm class. We collaborated to create a variety of o’clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to and to the nearest minute times.
We then applied all our time telling skills to solve word problems involving time.
Terrific time telling Palm class, well done!
