Escot escapades! 28/06/19
Year 3 had a fabulous time at Camp Wild, Escot last week. They took part in a swamp walk, spent time as Anglo Saxons and learnt some new bushcraft skills.
One of our highlights of the trip – the swamp walk! Lots of fun was had by all the children – and adults too! It definitely cooled us down after a hot day!
Wow, year 3 have had a fantastic couple of days at Escot. We have seen lots of different animals including otters, wild cats, owls and wolves. We also completed the swamp walk showing great resilience to keep going! In the evening, we toasted marshmallows and sang songs around the campfire. On our second day, we got lost in the maze, went down the drop slide and tried out lots of different activities in the Saxon village.
LOST PROPERTY: There are lots of items of clothing, hats, towels etc. that have been collected from Escot and from outside of school when the coach dropped us back. Please have a look outside of Cherry Class if you have forgotten/lost anything.
The swamp walk proved quite a challenge for children and some of the adults!!!!!
WHat an amazing two day learning journey- looking at habitats, birds of prey, wild boar habitats, Anglo Saxon living history and hands on craft making just to mention a few activities.
Not to mention washing up and gathering wood to make the fire at night
