Little Acorns- Raising Butterflies
The Little Acorns have been caring for 5 caterpillars over the last 2 weeks. We have observed them carefully and watched them grow. During this incredible period of growth, they have shed their exoskeletons four times and have grow more than ten times their original size!
The caterpillars have now changed into chrysalides, so have been safely transferred to their hatching net whilst they harden. This is a very delicate time so we will let them rest peacefully whilst the amazing process takes place!
We can not wait to see them soon emerge as beautiful butterflies!
Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful day at Occombe Farm today in the glorious sunshine, visiting the farm animals, seeing different birds and making delicious pizzas.
We hope the children have shared their yummy pizza’s with you and that you have enjoyed hearing about all the fabulous antics from today.
Thank you to everyone who could help.
Monkey Puzzle have been journaling and reflecting on all their learning in SOLE….They have all presented their work differently and I have been incredibly impressed with their imagination and enthusiasm on their reflections and presentation. Could you think of where you could use this journaling skill at home?
