We listened to a piece of calming music today to accompany a video of jellyfish swimming through the ocean. We had a go at writing our own form of musical notation. The children loved it and worked hard to think about the sounds they could hear. We then used our bodies and other resources, such as whiteboards, as percussion.
The most fun we had though was writing notation to accompany actual whale sounds. We then mimicked whales beautifully. Mrs Simister walked in half way through and was astounded. She thought we were really whales!
