As part of our science/space topic, we have been looking at space rockets. All the children were asked to design and build an ‘air propelled’ rocket. They needed to consider such things as weight, aerodynamics, shape and balance. We had a rocket launching session to see how they all performed when attached to a foot pump. Each ‘space journey’ was measured by our very own judges. We had great fun launching each rocket and watching them soar into the great unknown!! One did disappear out of the door!! The maximum distance was 5 metres. A brilliant effort by all our young aeronautical engineers.
