Please encourage your child to read every day for at least 20 minutes.
This week, we have been continuing our focus on time including using calendars and identifying how many days there are in a year, leap year and month. For home learning this week, we would like you to make a poster focusing on remembering the key dates in the year including: Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Bonfire Night, Halloween, your birthday and any other dates that you wish to include. Please complete this on plain paper (or print if completing on a computer/tablet). Please see your class teacher if you would like some paper for this.
To consolidate, please also learn the days in a month poem:
Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November; all the rest have thirty-one, except for February alone.
