Reading
Please encourage your child to read every day for at least 20 minutes. |
Science
During our next learning journey, we are going to have a focus on science. Ahead of the topic, please support your child in finding all the appliances in your home that use electricity. To show their new learning, your child may wish to list these items, make a poster or cut out pictures from a magazine to make a collage. |
Christmas
Between now and 1st December, we would like you to learn the words for Mary’s Boy Child. Mary’s Boy Child (All Children) Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible say, Mary’s boy child, Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. Chorus: Hark now, hear the angels sing, A new king born today, And we may live for evermore Because of Christmas day. Trumpets sound and angels sing, Listen to what they say, That we may live for evermore Because of Christmas Day.
While shepherds watch their flocks by night Them see a bright new shining star. Them hear a choir sing, the music seems to come from afar.
Now Joseph and his wife Mary come to Bethlehem that night. She have no place to bear her child, not a single room was in sight. CHORUS By and by they find a little nook in a stable all forlorn, And in a manger cold and dark, Mary’s little boy was born.
Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible say, Mary’s boy child, Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. CHORUS Yes we may live for evermore Because of Christmas day.
