Year 4 Home Learning – Friday 1st December 2017 |
Reading
Ideally, please encourage your child to read every day for at least 20 minutes. The minimum expectation is that your child should be reading for 15 minutes five times a week. This reading should be a mixture of independent reading and reading alongside an adult. |
Maths
Next week, we’ll be exploring angles in greater depth. Please explore different types of angles using the website below: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/maths/shape_space/angles/read/1/ Once you’ve learnt about angles, select some games from the following websites and play them. https://www.mathgames.com/skill/4.1-acute-right-obtuse-and-straight-angles https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Search.aspx?q=angles http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/maths/shapes/angles.html |
SOLE
In the last couple of weeks of term, as we begin our latest unit of work – ‘Let there be light’, we will be moving on to learning about light. Please take your time to investigate light – particularly sources of light and how we see things – and write a reflection on what you have learnt. The following website offers an ideal starting point: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/science/physical_processes/light/read/1/ |
Spellings
