Year 4 Home Learning

Friday 30th September; To be handed in on Wednesday 5th October

Please note: The requirement for KS2 home learning is 1 hour (30 mins for each activity, unless stated). Please don’t spend considerably longer than this, as we want the children to enjoy their weekends.

Task 1 – SOLE

Book Review

Book Review – Yr 4 H:L – Template

Our new topic is ‘If you go down to the woods today…’, based around fictional and real bears. This week for home learning, we would like the children to write a book review about a book that involves a bear, e.g, Goldilocks and the three bears, Paddington bear and We’re going on a bear hunt.

If you are finding it hard to find a book, head to the school library, where Mrs Cooke will be able to help you out. Or, you could head to the fantastic Teignmouth library, who also have a wide variety of bear books.

Task 2 – Addition and Subtraction

With the time remaining, can you teach someone in your family the column method for either addition or subtraction. This will help show your reasoning and understanding, as well as show off your learning to your family at home.

If you are unable to access the home learning or are finding it difficult, please speak to your teacher.
