Today, the children of year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to go and watch a live heart dissection. The children got to see all their learning up close and were expertly directed around the different parts by the science staff.
As an added bonus, the staff managed to get hold of a pluck (trachea, lungs, heart and liver), where a member of staff blew down a pipe and inflated the lungs.
Overall, the children loved the experience, even if they felt a little queasy at points.
