Art Resources

Dear Parents

Next week we are carrying out a range of art activities during our afternoons.  We are kindly asking for a range of materials so children have a choice in how they present their work.  If you have any of the following items, please bring them in:

1.     Wrapping paper

2.    Fabric (even old clothes)

3.    Pebbles and shells

4.    Magazines

Important ongoing tasks which must be completed several times a week

Times tables: Keep practising those times table facts – you need to know all facts up to 12 x 12 inside out, at the click of your fingers! Make sure you are rehearsing these facts regularly, preferably several times a week.

Reading: Remember that you should be reading on a daily basis at home, and should be discussing this reading with an adult – talking about the text, commenting on the author’s purpose, noticing particular features of certain genres, etc. In reading record books, please could children/parents write a comment about this reading.

Spellings: Practise your spellings from your group ready for the test next Friday.

Produce a piece of writing about the trip on Thursday to show your learning from the day’s experience.  This could be:

1.     A recount of the trop explain what you did and what you learnt

2.    Make bullet points of key learning

3.    Write part of a story where a character is sentenced (describe their feelings

4.    Produce an information text about the courtroom

5.    Create a comic strip

Try to include these: magistrates, legal advisors, prosecutors, witnesses, defendant, solicitors.

Please complete the mangahigh challenges.
