Apple Class went to sea, sea ,sea
To see what they could see, see, see.
Have a look at some of our pictures. How can you describe what we saw? Think about all your senses. What else do you notice in the pictures?
Apple Class not only spent time collecting words for their descriptive writing but they also sketched the lighthouse, discussed why the front and back beach are different and talked about why no cars are allowed to park in front of the lifeboat station. There was even time for a sandcastle building competition in which the children collaborated well and shared their imaginative ideas. The children thought about the properties of the objects they found on the beach and why they were useful in their design. Most teams created scenes from ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ and one team took us back in time to see Grace Darling saving lives with her dad.
A big thank you to all the parents who came along for their continued support.
