Year Two. Apple Class. Where do I go?

Today we went outside to use the lines on the playground as our blank number lines. We were given numbers and had to work together to decide where they should go.

We knew on a blank number line from 0 to 100 that 50 needed to be in the middle because we knew half of 10 was 5 so half of 100 was 50.  This made it easier to put on the multiples of ten. We had some interesting debates about how close the different numbers should be to each other, where they should go and why.
